Direct mail with a personal touch

Direct mail campaign for Synopsys, formally known as Black Duck Software.

Working with Black Duck Software, we designed a memorable, tactile, direct mail campaign.

Synopsys, formerly known as Black Duck Software, enlisted our expertise for a direct mail campaign aimed at reminding potential clients about the critical importance of maintaining updated cybersecurity measures. Our challenge was to create a memorable and non-traditional direct mailer that would resonate with their prospective clients.

To achieve this, we devised an innovative concept: each prospective client would receive a corporate-branded rubber duck enclosed in a sleek, foil-printed black box. Adding a personal touch, we included a handwritten note to each individual box, ensuring a connection with the client that surpassed the typical monotony of direct mailers.

Carefully packaging each box, we utilised our global shipping network to dispatch the packages to addresses worldwide. Within a couple of weeks, all packages successfully reached their intended recipients. The client's feedback and response surpassed expectations, turning the campaign into a huge success.

The unique approach of incorporating branded rubber ducks not only captured attention but also resonated with the client's desire for a personal touch. The tactile and visually appealing nature of the package, combined with the handwritten notes, resulted in a higher response rate than anticipated. This campaign not only fulfilled the initial objective of emphasising cybersecurity awareness but also demonstrated the power of creativity and personalisation in the realm of direct marketing.
